Peel police statement exposes the lies of pro- Khalistan groups

Turns out the SFJ and Pro-Khalistan groups were misleading people by spinning false stories.

On 15 August 2020, Peel police units responding to a gun sighting complaint apprehended a number of criminals from a parking lot in Brampton area.

According to the Peel police, as a result of the investigation, five men have each been charged with several firearms-related offences. They have been identified as:

  1.  Simerjit Singh, 23-years-old, from Georgetown
  2.  Arundeep Sood, 40-years-old, from Brampton
  3.  Manpreet Singh, 21-years-old, of No Fixed Address
  4. Shivampreet Singh, 21-years-old, from Brampton
  5. Mehakdeep Maan, 22-years-old, from Brampton

From the names it would appear that all the suspects are Sikhs and are all from areas neighboring Brampton.

In order to divert the attention of the Canadian public from the fact that the arrested elements were criminals, the Khalistan supporters, led by Sikh for Justice (SFJ), had raised a false-flag that the men arrested by the Peel police were Indian agents sent to intimidate a pro-Khalistan rally.

Apart from the incomprehensibility of why covert Indian agents would parade around with Indian flags emblazoned on their cars, the Peel police, which arrested the men and is investigating the matter put out a statement that has exposed the attempts of pro-Khalistan groups seeking to use this incident for publicity and creating disinformation.

Peel Regional Police Constable Bancroft Wright emailed the following statement to the media:

“Peel Police reacted to a complaint concerning a firearm in a vehicle on Saturday, August  15, 2020, in the City of Brampton. The incident was investigated, and five individuals were arrested. There have been comments made by local media outlets referring to threats of a political nature, our investigation did not find this to be so.”

Earlier, a spokesman for the Indian High Commission in Ottawa had denied suggestions from the activists that its government may have somehow been behind the incident.

The propaganda and efforts by some Pakistan-supported extremist elements to mislead the public and put out untruths about the incident indicates their desperation and appears to be an effort to create tensions and incite disharmony between various Indian communities in Canada.”

Peel Regional Police, which investigated the incident, had already clarified that officers had found no evidence of political overtones.

Given the holes in the SFJ story, doubts had already been raised by other members of the Sikh community in Canada that Sikhs for Justice staged the whole thing to gain publicity and malign India.

SFJ has been flogging the dead horse of Referendum 2020 - a bogus issue being backed by Pakistan and has been characterized as a fringe group that does not represent the mainstream of Sikh community.

It would appear that the SFJ and pro-Khalistan elements have become desperate for publicity and are being egged on by their Pakistani masters to create such false narratives.

In Canada, we have already paid a terrible price for the hatred and avarice that some violent Sikhs terrorists espouse.

Such violence mongers need to be brought to justice.
